Longyearbyen Accommodation
The township of Longyearbyen offers a limited range of accommodation. A number of the hotels are renovated mining workers lodgings from the post-war mining, such as Spitsbergen Guesthouse, which offer some quirky options with a true frontier feel. There are also some more conventional and characterful options available, such as Radisson SAS Polar Hotel and Basecamp Trappers Lodge.
As there is limited availability it is advisable to book your stay well in advance, particularly if you are travelling during peak periods.
