Built in 1975 in the former Yugoslavia, a sister ship to the M/V Lyubov Orlova, an ocean-going vessel equipped with an ice-strengthened hull. In 1998 she underwent a major conversion costing more than 10 million US$ and now the 122 passenger Clipper Adventurer is one of the most handsome expedition vessels. She is an excellent option for those looking for a more comfortable polar experience and the stability of a longer vessel.

All 61 cabins have outside portholes or windows with lower berths, private facilities and individual temperature controls. The window-lined dining room can seat all the passengers in one sitting, there is also spacious presentation lounge, a small but well stocked library with nautical books and board games, 2 bars and an exercise room. Unique to the ship is a covered promenade with a varnished pine deck. The Captain and his officers maintain an open bridge to give passengers the opportunity to observe and ask questions.

There are two zodiac boarding rooms along with 10 zodiacs for landing and exploration. Parka jackets are provided to all expedition members (to keep at the end of the voyage) and wellington boots are available on loan.
