A voyage of discovery; includes time to explore the southern Antarctic Peninsula, the rarely visited volcanic Peter I Island along with the Ross Sea and Macquarie Island. Embark upon an exploratory voyage along the outer fringes of the pack-ice in the Amundsen Sea, the starting point for Amundsen’s infamous journey to reach the South Pole in 1911. Voyage into the Ross sea to visit the huts of British explorers Ernest Shackleton and Robert Falcon Scott and end with the Sub Antarctic Macquarie Island. You will have the opportunity to see up to 11 species of penguins, 6 species of seals along with a wide variety of albatross and whales.
