Mchenja Bush Camp
Set in a grove of magnificent ebony trees - Mchenja Bush Camp is a luxurious, elegant and stylish tented camp overlooking a huge sweeping bend in the Luangwa. Each of the five specially designed octagonal tents at Mchenja Bush Camp has their own private en-suite, open-air bathroom plus free standing, roll-top baths inside with a river view.
The beautiful central chitenje at Muchenja Bush Camp is built around one of the old fallen Mchenja (ebony) trees and guests can cool off there in the camp's plunge pool.
Even at the end of the dry season there is often a trickle of water left in the Luangwa river which attracts the local wildlife down to the water - with comfortable deck chairs up on the river bank you hardly need to go out on a game drive here as you watch the animals venture out over the dry river bed to get water.
