Kakuli bush camp
For more the more adventurous, Kakuli, the local word for an old, lone buffalo bull, is set on the banks of the Luangwa with five traditional walk-in safari tents each with en-suite bathrooms.
The bar and dining chitenje is constructed of reed and thatch and the camp concentrates on walking safaris. A stay here is usually combined with Kapani Lodge and sister-bushcamps, Luwi, Nsolo and Mchenja.
Kakuli is open from June until the end of October and the lagoon area in front of the living quarters attracts a huge variety of wildlife and makes for some interesting meal times.
