Sussi & Chuma
Sussi & Chuma, located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, is nostalgically named after David Livingstone's pall-bearers and consists of an exclusive, up-market tree-tops lodge and two spacious two-bedroom private-use river houses. Both take full advantage of their enchanting riverbank setting.
Guest accommodation at Sussi & Chuma consists of 12 luxury tree-houses, built into the living canopy of majestic ebony trees lining the bank. Each tree-house has a private view of the Zambezi from its own deck among the branches. The main lodge building features a spectacular raised bar and lounge deck, an open-air dining area, curio shop and swimming pool sweeping down to the water's edge. Revitalizing Africology and Thalgo spa treatments are on offer.
The exclusive-use Chuma houses offer two en-suite bedrooms, one double room with a bath and an outdoor shower and one twin room with a bath and indoor shower, a spacious lounge and dining area, kitchenette, outdoor deck, barbeque area and private plunge pool. Chuma house guests have their own private chef to cook all meals and a private guide, vehicle and boat for all activities. Facilities include air-conditioning, a private viewing deck, mini-bar and overhead fans.
Included in the rate at Sussi & Chuma is a guided tour of the Victoria Falls from the Zambian Side and a visit to the Simanga Village. Game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and early morning or sunset river cruises, or fishing from the Zambezi River.
