Stanley Safari lodge is beautiful, very different from the larger lodges in Livingstone, in a quiet location high on a hill where you can see the distant views of the spray of the Victoria Falls. It’s only 3 km from the river and Victoria Falls and is a perfect base from which to explore the delights of the area. From river rafting and bungee jumping to sunset cruises, elephant back rides or walking with lions, we were pleasantly surprised how much there was to do.
At the lodge you can dine outdoors under the stars, in the privacy of your suite, in the wine cellar or even in the infinity pool. The African style and furnishings of the lodge reflect the textures and patterns of Africa, and your hosts do their best to make your stay a memorable one.
The open-sided Main House is very spacious, with lots of cosy areas to relax and have a pre dinner drink. Each of the rooms is different and we can find one to suite your taste, requirements and budget. One larger unit offers two bedrooms with a private dining area and lounge to accommodate a family or group of friends.
We liked the fact that we didn’t all have to dine at one table and were asked each day where we would like our dinner table set up in the evening. Our suite had a private pool and a secluded private garden area and all of the rooms are spaced quite a way apart.
