Semliki Safari Lodge, Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve, Uganda
Semliki Safari Lodge is situated within the Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve. Offering a true personal wilderness experience as it is the only accommodation in over 500 square kilometres. The aim of the lodge is to create a comfortable, traditional accomodation in the amazing surroundings of the reserve. Due to the vastness of the reserve itself whilst staying at Semliki Safari Lodge guests are able to have the whole reserve and the splendour it has to offer to themselves.
Accomodation at Semliki Safari Lodge is in huge canvas tents with glorious thatched roofs, allowing a true African experience where you are able to take in the sights around you during the day and the sounds during the evenings. All the tents have en suite bathroom with running water and private verandas allowing amazing panoramic views of the area and wildlife. The tents aim to offer the upmost comforts including muslin draped four poster beds, Persian carpets and many other small luxurious touches. The lodge itself and the tents are all built out of local materials, enabling to keep the traditional rustic mood without losing that all-important comfort. The food offered at the lodge has been known as the 'Best food in Uganda', to continue with the lodge’s aim to maintain traditional charm all the food is homemade, from the muffins served in the mornings to the relishes and chutneys served during the day.
The lodge offers an array of activities such as Chimpanzee tracking, Jungle walks, Fishing, Bird watching and game drives. Alternatively you may choose to just relax by the pool and take in the wondrous surroundings of the Blue Mountains of the Congo.
