Mweya Lodge, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda
Mweya Lodge is situated on a peninsula which has a view over the glorious Kazinga Channel on one side and spectacular views towards the Ruwenzori Mountains on the other. The lodge itself is perched on a hill overlooking Lake Edward where the Kazinga channel exits the lake, offering views that are truly incredible. The lodge offers some of the best accommodation and service facilities in Uganda.
The lodge has a selection of different accomodation styles, from the president’s cottage to the royal cottage, deluxe room and also triple and twin standard rooms. Each of the rooms is designed to offer the upmost comfort. All of the rooms have private en suite bathroom and offer private verandas allowing personalised stunning views over the Kazinga Channel and Lake Edward. Breakfast at Mweya Lodge is taken on the alfresco terrace adjacent to the Kazinga Channel.
Activities offered from the lodge include game drives into the park to search for sightings of the wide array of wildlife on offer such as leopard, hyena, lion, buffalo and the 604 species of birdlife that are known to be found in the park itself.
