Apoka Lodge, Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda
Apoka Lodge is situated towards the western edge of the Great Rift Valley allowing magnificent views across Kidepo Valley National Park and the panoramic scenery below and enticing travellers to explore. From the veranda’s of the Lodge guests have the ability to sit back, relax and take in the surroundings whilst planning the adventures they will have whilst discovering Kidepo Valley national park and all it has too offer such as the almost impenetrable Acacia geradi forest, the magnificent mountains and of course the abundance of wildlife.
Accomodation at Apoka Lodge has been built for the client who enjoys glorious natural surroundings mixed the luxurious comfort. Everything is locally made by craftsmen from nearby villagers. The lodge offers ten well sized rooms surrounded by a natural canvas and rocky outcrops, which are very traditional for east Africa, offering stunning views across the endless savannah. All of the rooms at the lodge offer the most comfortable facilities including its own en suite bathroom with double sink and large tropical shower. An added luxury is the room’s private bathtubs which are situated on a sheltered terrace a few steps away from the room itself, they are a suitable in size for a whole family and allow relaxation at its best, whilst also having the added pleasure of experiencing what Kidepo Valley national park and Uganda has to offer. The lodge also has a swimming Pool and main lodge with dining room and plenty of lounge space.
The Lodge offers a number of activities including game drives, bird watching and spot lit night drives. Kidepo Valley national park offers an abundance of wildlife including Lion, leopard, cheetah, and elephant and possibly the largest herds of buffalo found in Africa. The best way to enjoy all the wildlife that is on offer are by the guided walks through the magical park, it definately enables you to get up close and personal.
