Emin Pasha Hotel, Kampala, Uganda
The Emin Pasha Hotel is Kampala’s first boutique hotel and flaunts elegance and comfort whilst evoking the taste of a bygone era. The hotel aims to balance the charms of old elegance with new age sophistication to create a harmonious place to stay. It can be seen that the hotel has made it possible to blend tradition seamlessly with contemporary styles, from the architecture to the furnishings and the modern amenities. Located near the centre of Kampala and set in two acres of peaceful tropical gardens this hotel offers can be seen to offer privacy and calm in an otherwise hectic world.
The twenty rooms are stylistically decorated to a high quality. There are eight garden Rooms, all situated on the ground floor offering a small outside sitting area facing the gardens or courtyards, en-suite bathrooms with either slate-tiled tropical shower or deep long bath, air-conditioning internet access, television and direct dial telephone. The two garden suites are also on the ground level and are larger in size than the standard rooms and have a lounge area along with the other amenities offered in the standard rooms. The eight superior rooms are situated on the upper level with French doors opening to views over gardens or courtyards. All are equipped with air-conditioning and have en-suite bathrooms, internet access, television, direct dial telephone, and mosquito nets over the beds. Lastly, the two Superior Suites are also on the upper level and offer the same as the Garden suites. The restaurant’s menu changes frequently and draws its inspiration from many quarters, with strong Pan-African and Asian influences, as well as the more traditional continental fare.
