Gately on the Nile is situated adjacent to Lake Victoria, close to the Source of the Nile with panoramic views from the terraced garden area. Gately on the Nile is a large colonial style house that has been refurbished to create a bed & breakfast style establishment which aims to achieve a ‘home away from home’ atmosphere. The main selling point is the amazing views over four acres of tropical, tranquil gardens and the waters of Lake Victoria.
Accomodation offered includes, eight private en suite bedrooms luxuriously decorated with the option of a self-contained annexe also available. There are also four gorgeous private garden cottages finished with a rockery, open-air shower room and a balcony that offers relaxing water and garden views. There is a sun downer terraced lounge showcasing the stunning views of Lake Victoria and the beautiful ever changing African sunsets in their true glory.
From here there are many activities available including exploring the source of the Nile, horseback safaris, kayaking, trekking into the Mabira forest, local fishing trips on Lake Victoria or simply relaxing and taking in the magnificent surroundings.
