Buhoma Lodge, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
Buhoma Lodge is nestled in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; it offers uninterrupted views of the forest itself and the surrounding flora and fauna. Developed from the original Buhoma Homestead, Buhoma Lodge is now a well-appointed lodge in the heart of the Gorilla rich forests of Bwindi. The lodge itself aims to create a warm and inviting atmosphere whilst taking its natural surroundings into consideration.
The naturally designed lodge offers eight beautiful cottages each with comfy beds, en suite bathroom with flushing toilet and a hot shower and also some rooms with bath tub. The Cottage’s private verandas allow a closer and personal interaction with the natural environment. There is also a lounge area, complete with bar and dining facilities situated on a raised wooden platform offering a delightful environment to discuss compare and discuss stories of the day’s adventures around the atmospheric fireplaces which add warmth in the cool evenings. Buhoma Lodge puts emphasis on its natural design and use of local materials where possible, through this it has been able to offer support to local communities and businesses. The Meals served in the restaurant are freshly prepared with as many local ingredients as possible, but they offer a balance of international and locally flavoured cuisine to allow a diverse selection of meals and beverages to suit all requirements.
