Migunga Forest Camp
Nestled in a quiet corner on the northwest of the Lake Manyara, Migunga Forest Camp is only five minutes from the entrance of Lake Manyara National Park, which spreads out across the Great East African Rift Valley, dominating a immense landscape. Often called Tanzania's water wonderland due to the large number of birds and animals the lake supports, Lake Manyara National Park is also famous for its' tree-climbing lions.
Migunga Forest camp offers 19 Semi luxury tents, all with large attached bathroom set underneath canopy of acacia trees. The tents offer their own raised platform with its own private veranda, allowing very personal privileged view of the surroundings.
Activities available from the camp include, Mountain bike trail, Lake Manyara walk, early morning bird walk, cultural village walks, forest walks, micro lighting across the Rift Valley. At Migunga you will wake up in the morning with the beams of the sun finding their way through other Migunga trees. In the afternoon you can enjoy our mountain bike ride trail through Lake Manyara's backyard or you can enjoy watching our vervet monkeys. The evenings are resonating with the typical sounds of forest creatures.
