Plantation Lodge
Like a green oasis, Plantation Lodge rests on the soft, red-brown hills amidst the vastness and silence of East Africa. The Lodge is situated about 30 kms from the Ngorongoro Crater. The place is very neatly tucked away on a coffee farm in the hills near to the town of Kiratu. When you arrive you will see the beauty of this part of the world. Sweeping hills with thick green vegetation make you want to stay forever.
Plantation Lodge has a very personal touch to it. The decor is a European African theme and all rooms are decorated individually. Beautiful gardens allow you some time alone and away from it all. There is a spectacular pool at the bottom end of the garden which overlooks the valleys below and is a welcome relief on those scorching African summer days.
Plantation Lodge is basically a house that has been converted for guest accommodation. There are various little houses located around the gardens which guests stay in. One of the best features is a huge house which can accommodate groups or families. There are a total of 14 double rooms of which 6 can be converted into triples.
The lodge’s location promises maximum safari enjoyment: a stone’s throw from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a short hop from the Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks, and just a short journey from the Serengeti.
