Lemala tented camp
Lemala camp is a new intimate camp on the rim of the crater offering luxury accommodation under canvas in large spacious tents with wooden platform and rugs.
The camp offers secluded accommodation under canvas in 6 luxury tents and 1 family tent (accommodates 4 to 5 guests). Each tent has 2 large single beds or a king size double bed with thick duvets for warmth and comfort, a heater to warm the tent, and a private bathroom that includes a dressing area, flush loo, shower and basin with running water. Each spacious tent is outfitted with a gas heater, large single or king-size beds with warm duvets, wooden flooring with rugs, 24-hr solar lighting, and en-suite bathrooms with a dressing area, flush toilet and a safari shower.
Lemala Ngorongoro mess area is beautifully furnished with grand sofas, lamps, book and corner cabinets in old wood, chests and rugs. Meals are served al fresco or inside the mess and all guests are invited to sit together with the naturalist at dinner time.
Lemala’s major advantage over other accommodation on the rim is the quick and easy access into the crater which maximizes game viewing and avoids the traffic. Ol Moti and Empakaai craters are also easily accessible for optional walks with the Masai. Optional private lunches inside the crater or breakfast with the Masai can be arranged with advance notice.
