Babu's Camp
Babu's Camp is an intimate tented camp in Mkomazi Game reserve with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Mkomazi Game reserve not only provides a home to endangered Black Rhinos and African Wild Dogs but gives visitors a chance to get out of their vehicles and explore. Mkomazi National Park covers and area of 3,700 sq km and shares its northern border with Tsavo National Park in Kenya and is shadowed by the Usambara and Pare mountains.The camp is located in the hills a little more than an hour from the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary where Tony Fitz john has established Tanzania's first Black Rhino breeding program. The camp itself is set among baobabs and acacia trees.
Accommodation is in only five large, walk-in luxury safari tents with en suite facilities. The tents are well-attended tents, each measuring ten metres long and comfortably furnished with wooden bed, wardrobe, changing area, safari chairs and a writing desk. Each tent has an ensuite bathroom with flush toilets and hot showers. Three tents have a large, double bed and two have twin beds. Triple tents are also available.The dining tent offers ample seating inside and out on its verandahs as well as a full service bar.
