Trip Summary
This journey idea is really for those wanting to see as much of the Serengeti’s world famous wildebeest migration as possible, but without the crowds. At the beginning of the year the migration comes to a brief halt in the southern Serengeti as the animals give birth to their young – this results in the southern Serengeti plains absolutely teeming with wildlife. The Southern Serengeti Camp offers a really exclusive location as it is just south of the Serengeti National Park itself but the area is still crawling with animals. They also offer even more exclusive and remote walking safaris with a mobile camp and a chance to spend time with the Hadzabe tribe who are an ancient nomadic tribe in central Tanzania, near Lake Eyasi which you can visit on this walking safari. After this you will be ready for some relaxation on the beautiful beach at Fundu Lagoon on Pemba Island, just north of Zanzibar. Again, it is wonderfully remote, and you are away from the much busier beaches and resorts of Zanzibar – the perfect place to relax or you can do some of the many activities on offer. For keen divers this is one of the world’s top diving areas.
