Trip Overview
Travelling to Northern Sudan could evoke the idea of hardship with its desert environment. However, on this trip you can delight in all there is to see and experience wonderful comfort sustained by exceptional food along the way. If this is your first time to Sudan, we recommend a nine day itinerary which will introduce you to the wonders of Sudan north of Khartoum. The route is a circular one that can be traversed either way round, visiting the pyramids and ancient burial sites of Jebel Barkal and then following the Nile to the pyramids and the metropolis of Meroe. Expert guides will have you reading hieroglyphics and unlocking the secrets of this forgotten land. The trip can be tailored to suit you but logistically it is best to travel as a small group.
