Bushman’s Kloof is a very different and unique Cape experience. The beautiful award winning lodge is nestled into the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains and only 3 hours drive from Cape Town. Built in the style of that region the homestead overlooks miles of beautiful countryside and the Cederberg Wilderness area.
The lodge comprises sixteen independently furnished and decorated rooms spread amongst wonderful organic garden, and an exclusive use villa, Koro Lodge. Eating at Bushman’s Kloof is a celebration and meals are often taken in various locations with various wonderful views.
Although the lodge is set wihtin a reserve, the wildlife seen here is endemic and gentle with many antelope species, the mountain zebra and small predators. There is much to do here and essentially you are encouraged to relax and enjoy boundless nature, be it on a bicycle, a sunset drive or a nature walk. You may even find solace in the Elemis and Dermalogica Spa.
The reserve is an important conservation area for Bushman paintings and you will be able to learn all about the ancient art and the people who created it through specialist guides. Families are particularly well looked after and there is canoeing and archery, wild-swimming and local tours for everyone to enjoy.
We recommend at least a three-night stay to take in the beauty of the area. Family Packages are run throughout the year.
