Often regarded as off the beaten track, the west Cape Coast has a great deal to offer those who travel there a the right time of the year. Quaint whitewashed houses stand proud against the dark blue backdrop of the Atlantic ocean and here you will find time unaltered. Inland, find the Cedarberg Mountains, an area of wind sculptured rock and Bushman paintings. However, it is the beauty of Citrusdaal, with its fruit trees blossoming in Spring, and Namaqualand, with its carpet of dazzling flowers in August, that are truly memorable.
