Paved pathways lead down the mountainside from the main guest areas of the Lodge to the spacious suites each featuring a private sitting area as well as a viewing deck. All of the suites allow the opportunity to observe the serenity of the South African wilderness from the rooms’ private deck which is surrounded by the indigenous trees and shrubbery of the pristine Zululand bush-veld. Delicious Pan-African cuisine is enjoyed in the dramatic boma at Phinda Mountain Lodge, illuminated by dozens of candles and lanterns, or served to you in a spectacular clearing in the bush under a star-studded sky. Phinda is renowned for wonderful bush banqueting in surprising settings.
Due to the lodges location in the Phinda Private Game Reserve it offers excellent game viewing, including the big five, with spectacular sightings of the elusive cheetah and the rare black rhino. Day and night game drives, walking safaris, river cruises and canoeing on the Mzinene River are all available from the lodge.
