Jaci's Lodges were one of the first lodges to be established in the Madikwe Game Reserve and certainly have some of the best locations of all the camps in the reserve. Situated close to all the best game viewing areas yet away from other camps, Jaci’s is a stylish retreat. Named after Jaci, the owner who raised her family there, the lodge is divided into two distinct camps, Safari and Tree lodge. The two camps are connected by a pathway but are very different; with children primarily being accommodated in the encompassing safari lodge and couples finding respite in the stylish Tree Lodge. In both camps you will find an unerring dedication to personal service, quirky design and delicious food.
Safari Lodge is situated overlooking a small local stream, the lodge is fenced and safe and comprises of eight standard suites and two dedicated family suites called The Safari Suite and Nare Suite. The Safari lodge has a wonderful communal space where dinners are served and a fire is lit to sit around and rekindle stories of the bushveld.
The Family Suites come complete with two bedrooms each sleeping six (Nare Suite) or eight (Safari Suite). Both suites include the services of a professional ranging team, butler and a chef to prepare meals if desired. Both are fantastic options for families.
Tree Lodge is built imaginatively in the trees where the spacious rooms are interlinked by elevated walkways. Each suite is very large and boasts a freestanding egg-shaped marble bath overlooking the canopy and the bush below. The beds are huge and the front of the room opens up entirely to the balcony and the nature beyond it. The design is clean and colourful with an emphasis on wood, glass and bright colours.
Sleep-out deck - Nights can be spent sleeping out on the deck in perfect safety for an exhilarating experience.
We at Steppes have always loved Jaci’s and have watched as the lodges have grown to be very popular amongst couples and families alike.
