Harping back to days gone by
Our lovely friends who own Jaci's camp in Madikwe also own Cheetah Plains which used to be Djuma camp.
Cheetah Plains is situated in the Sabi Sands reserve which is part of the Greater Kruger Park. Game viewing is superb in this area and with only 8 air conditioned and luxurious suites, it is the ideal place for your first safari. The camp is well established with great service and it harps back to the old days when rangers sat endlessly at the fireside regaling the adventures of the African bushveld. The camp is not yet suited to younger families as the rooms are a bit small for an extra bed but for older children who are happy in their own rooms, its perfect. Jan, the owner, is passionate about the fire cuisine which is served here and the hearty food and honest service in which the camp excels. Especially interesting are the photographic safaris, in state of the art vehicles with expert photographic guides. If you ever wanted to take photography seriously, you can at Cheetah Plains. Jaci and Jan also own Jacis camp in the Madikwe and Granddaddy's in Cape Town.
At Steppes we whole heatedly endorse Jaci and Jan who own this camp. We are always happy to deliver you into their very capable hands to ensure that you have a truely unforgettable safari. At Cheetah Plains you will get luxurious linen, fantastic service, an unpretentious smile and very good game viewing!
