Denis Private Island is a 375 acre coral island set amidst the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. Just a 30 minute flight from the Main island of Mahe, Denis Private Island is serviced every day by a scheduled flight.
From the moment you are met at the airstrip with a warm Creole welcome Denis Private island opens the door to a complete island experience. The cottages all face the sea and have direct access to the sandy beach offering you a choice of Spa cottages, incorporating private spa areas, or beach cottages and deluxe beach cottages. Each spacious room can accommodate two adults and two children.
There is also the option of a two bedroom family Villa right on the beachfront or the newly refurbished Beach Villa with private pool and barbeque area. Each room is decorated in the same island inspired style and as there is a fully wired and functional library in the main building, the rooms do not have WiFi or televisions, offering a complete break from the hectic world at home and encouraging you to read, listen to music or explore the diversity the island has to offer.
Meals are all fresh from the sea or, if that is not your favourite kind of food, the chef will offer a wide variety of sumptuous dishes. There is an endless array of activities for all on the island ranging from kayaking, tennis, exploring by bike or on foot with the resident guides or perhaps fishing or diving on the nearby reefs. There is the giant tortoise colony to visit, a sunset picnic to savour and perhaps even a nearby island to explore. The accommodation, meals and house drinks are included so all you have to do is relax.
Denis Private Island has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and a great deal has been done to ensure that conserving the delicate ecosystem on the island is a priority. It must be one of the best island escapes, offering a refuge for the world weary.
