Aerial Curieuse Island Coast, Seychelles, Raymond Sahuquet

The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands sitting in the middle of the Indian Ocean half way between Africa and India, some 1,500 kilometres east of mainland Africa & northeast of the island of Madagascar. The Seychelles is a living museum of natural history and a sanctuary for some of the rarest species of flora & fauna on earth.

From the smallest frog to the heaviest land tortoise and the only flightless bird of the Indian Ocean, Seychelles nurtures an amazing array of prevalent species within surrounds of exceptional natural beauty. The Seychelles, one of the world’s very last frontiers, promises adventure and breathtaking natural beauty in pristine surrounds still untouched by man.

Traditionally, the better resorts have been based on the larger northern islands, such as Mahe and Praslin, with their high mountain ranges. However, now more emphasis is being placed on the smaller southern islands, which have benefited from the recent opening of some very luxurious smaller hotels offering a quieter and more personal atmosphere.
