Rwanda is an incredibly beautiful country supporting a wide diversity of flora and fauna with the main highlight being the highly endangered mountain gorilla. This journey option starts with a spectacular helicopter transfer from Kigale, a great way to witness the beauty of this country known as ‘the land of a thousand hills’. Stay at Virunga Lodge, set in a stunning location, overlooking the Virunga volcanoes and Ruhondo and Bulera lakes, the most beautiful base from which to track the gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. This journey can be extended to other parts of Rwanda, such as Nyungwe Forest, home to a large number of primates such as chimpanzees and Ruwenzori colobus monkeys or Lake Kivu, a great place to relax and experience a little of Rwandan life.
