The Stiltz
The Stiltz is very unique in every aspect, offering the most spectacular views in Swakopmund overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the river-bed, the sand dunes and the bird rich lagoon at the river mouth. The architecture of the wooden bungalows which are all built on stilts is amazing a offers something very different to a lot of the traditional lodges in the region.
Each of the nine private bungalows at The Stiltz has been carefully created and there has been as much attention to detail as possible. The bungalows all have a private en suite bathroom with a shower and a balcony offering wonderful views of the ocean and beyond. Each of the bungalows is interlinked by a series of wooden walkways which all lead up towards the main dining bungalow. There is also a luxury villa which can accommodate up to six people, which is perfect for family or couples looking for more space, it is spread over two levels, and has three bedrooms, it also has a giant picture window on the upper level giving spectacular views out to sea, from the emperor sized bed. The main facilities include a small lounge and dining area which is the perfect place to relax and take in the views that surround the bungalows.
Activities in the area include skydiving, sailing, sand-boarding, dolphin cruises, quad biking, kayaking with dolphins, desert trips, camel rides, scenic flights, paragliding, horse riding, fishing, boat rides and the beach.
