Northern Nambia Holidays
Northern Namibia is dominated by the Kunene River which is one of three rivers in Namibia with year round water and also serves as the border with Angola. The Kunene River provides some rafting at certain times of the year, is home to the infamous Ondorusa Rapids, waterfalls, crocodiles and adventure.
When you are not playing on the river you can relax in riverside camps of which there are very few, watch the wildlife and soak up the wilderness atmosphere. The Epupa Falls are a highlight of the river. Here, the Kunene breaks up into several channels before hurtling into a deep chasm. The best time to visit is from March to September, when the heat is bearable and the rapids flow fast.
