Onguma the Fort
Onguma the Fort is the only one of its kind in Namibia. The fort itself Overlooks the beautiful scarceness of the Etosha Pans, decorated only with its wild animals and hundreds of Camel Thorn trees that dot the landscape and allows one of the best sunset views in the whole of Namibia.
The main Fort has a classical African feel combined with a touch of Moroccan and Indian flavours, characterised by a selection of the most beautiful antique windows and doors. The Fort can accommodate a maximum of twenty four guests in twelve mini suites, all of which are situated adjacent to the Main Fort facilities. Each of the private suites has a spacious en suite bathroom with an inside shower as well as an outside shower area. From every area of the suites, wooden decks lead out towards the outside seating area and sun loungers. The one and only Fort Suite is located within the main tower and has an exquisitely designed bedroom with private en suite bathroom, along with a separate lounge area and private viewing deck. The main facilities include a spacious and beautifully decorated lounge and open air dining room. There is also a large wooden deck will lead you to the outside, with scattered romantic seating spaces, in full view of the waterhole at which many various species of buck, giraffe, lion, zebra, birds, etc. come to drink and frolic daily. Wonderful meals will be served on either the viewing deck, at the outside dining area, around the lantern-lit pool at night, or inside the courtyard at the water feature.
The camp allows the opportunity to take part in activities which enable a fuller understanding of the wildness of the bush. Due the camps isolated location there is also the option to simply relax and take in the sights, sounds of the surroundings.
