Ongava Game Lodge
Located in the privately owned Ongava Game Reserve, a region along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park is Ongava Game Lodge. Etosha National park is well known for having wonderful concentrations of game, especially in the dry winter months, along with stunning views of the salt pans which dominate the centre of the park and Ongava Game Lodge is in a perfect location to explore these areas.
The Lodge’s accomodation comprises of twelve rock and thatch chalets which aim to blend in with the natural surroundings of the game reserve. Each of the chalets has air conditioning along with private en suite bathrooms. The main facilities at the lodge include a dining area which is under thatch offering an amazing view over the lodge’s private waterhole which is frequented by a selection of wildlife including the resident white and black rhino, allowing the unique opportunity to see both species in their natural habitat.
Activities from the lodge include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha National Park where lion, elephant, cheetah, gemsbok, springbok, and hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes in the park. In addition, night drives and walks are enjoyed on the private reserve.
