Mushara Outposts

Mushara Lodge Mushara Lodge interior

Mushara Outposts is located only eight kilometres from the Von Lindequist Gate on the eastern outskirts of the Etosha National Park. The name Mushara derives from the Purple Pod Terminalia tree, which grows in abundance in and around the lodges’ grounds and surrounding area.

Mushara Outposts has been decorated with a warm African theme throughout the lodge. The lodge has ten double spacious thatched chalets all located around the lodge’s main swimming pool area. Each of the chalets are decadently designed and exude space and luxury. Mushara also offers a family house which is designed specifically for groups with younger children. The thatched main area of the lodge consists of a small library, a bar with an extensive wine cellar, airy lounge with welcoming fireplace for cool winter evenings, dining area and well stocked curio shop. There has been a great amount of attention to detail to the whole lodge from the ostrich shell chandeliers to the porcupine quill candle holders, the main aim is to create an eclectic blend of traditional African and modern interiors and this is clearly depicted.

Activities available from the lodge include exploration of Etosha National Park through walking and vehicle driven safaris and also the opportunity to gain a further understanding of the flora and fauna found within the park itself.
