Impalila Island Lodge
Impalila Island is the only island that is situated where four countries meet and where two rivers converge. Officially set in Namibia, it can be reached from Botswana. The architecture of Impalila Island Lodge incorporates thatch, wood and giant baobab trees which offers a shelter to the island refuge and adds to the wonder of this idyllic setting.
The Lodge itself has eight chalets which are beautifully decorated in the rich colours of Africa. All the chalets offer the upmost comfort and have private en suite bathrooms and completely private uninterrupted river views. The gentle sounds of the Mambova rapids make the perfect natural assistance to complete relaxation.
The lagoons, channels and rapids of the Zambezi and Chobe rivers, which surround Impalila Island and the Lodge, provide great fishing opportunities for traditional and fly fishing devotees. Other activities available from the Lodge include walking, bird watching and trips to the local villages.
