Pembele
Pembele is a magnificent African private beach villa which was grown out of a long standing passion for Africa, by the original owners Julia and Chris Butterfield, and John Coles. Completed in September 2006, their vision was to create a sustainable eco property blending harmoniously with the Indian Ocean coastal landscape.
Beautifully designed and built using local materials in a style that is sympathetic to the surrounding environment; Pembele offers guests an authentic African experience. Shaggy jekka thatch roofs frame rooms open to the breeze and view. Decoration is a mix of contemporary and African furnishings with intricately carved pillars, African artefacts and beautifully maintained gardens of indigenous plantings - creating an atmosphere of tropical tranquillity. Pembele is made up of five bedrooms and can sleep up to ten adult guests and five children.
