Ibo Island is situated in the Quirimbas Archipelago of northern Mozambique. The island itself has been nominated for World Heritage status and has been described as one of the most exceptional and atmospheric islands in the world. Ibo Island Lodge encompasses three magnificent mansions each over one hundred years old and located right on the prime waterfront site, where romantic dhows sail out to sea on each high tide.

The lodge accommodates guests in delightfully stylish, yet simple rooms, with indigenous solid teak and mahogany furniture handcrafted by the local people of Ibo Island. Each of the nine large rooms are individually designed and have an en suite bathroom, air conditioning and boast antiques and handcrafted furniture, with magnificent wooden doors and shutters that evoke the original design. The Wide verandas are a traditional feature of all Ibo mansions and have comfortable plantation style chairs with soft cushions where the views of the sea or garden can be taken in.  Meals at the Ibo Island Lodge feature freshly Ibo-grow organic vegetables, fruits and produce combining traditional specialties with seafood: giant tiger prawns, game fish and Ibo's specialty: crab with fragrant coconut rice. Romantic dinners served on the wide tranquil verandas or on the roof terrace restaurant both with awesome views over the sea.

There is a large selection of activities available from Ibo Island Lodge to allow the ability to be truly immersed in the area. Fully guided activities at the Ibo Island Lodge include, The Ibo Island historical Experience, a remarkable, emotional journey through the history of Ibo. Sea kayaking in calm flat waters and the mangroves is also available allowing the chance to navigate winding channels with breathtaking scenery or island hop safely under the expert leadership guides. Visits to Ibo's pristine sand spit beach which are only accessed by boat and totally private. Snorkelling, traditional dhow safaris, massage, scuba diving and fly fishing on a tag and release basis is also available.
