Day 1: Depart London on Royal Air Moroc or Easyjet. On arrival in Marakech - usually in the evening you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 2: An insight into life in Marrakech in traditional horse-drawn calèches. Visit to traditional market, souks, apothecary and Place Djemaa el Fna. Time in the afternoon for shopping, sightseeing and fieldwork
Day 3: Travel to Kasbah du Toubkal, via modern French quarter of Marrakech. Time to visit the Menara gardens, for fieldwork in the new town if required. Arrival in Imlil for mule trek to Kasbah, then lunch. In afternoon, walk in local area to Aremd for mint tea at a local house.
Day 4: Pass time in Imlil, carrying out fieldwork, or trek to neighbouring valley for a night at a local berber house.

Day 6: Travel to Zagora crossing over the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka col, a ribbon of road through the lands of the Lords of the Atlas. Night in hotel.
Day 7: Visit Tinfou, a village being encroached by the desert sands, a small pottery co-operative, a Koranic library and eat a wonderful lunch in the desert oasis. In the afternoon, meet your camels and trek into the desert for a night in Tuareg tents, under the stars. Please note, camel trekking is subject to a supplement of £ 25 per person (2009 prices) and £ 30 / € 40 (2010 prices)
Day 8: Return from the desert for hot showers and lunch. In the afternoon visit a Jewish Kasbah where traditional silver jewellery-making techniques are still practised, and try your hand at bargaining for silver!
Day 9: Return to Marrakech, a long drive across the roof of the world. Night in hotel in Marrakech and a last chance to visit the dazzling Djemaa el Fna.
Day 10 : Tour ends in the morning with transfer to the airport for homeward flight.
