Le Canonnier is a recent addition to the Beachcomber group and has an idyllic setting on 'La Pointe aux Canonniers' this resort is situated on the north of the island on a sheltered peninsula so that you can enjoy year-round sunshine and fine climate. Le Canonnier is surrounded by history while maintaining all the comforts of modern living, in the magnificent gardens, there are relics of a bygone era including an ancient lighthouse and the vestiges of a fortress.
The resort has over two hundred different types of accomodation varying from rooms, duplexes, apartments and suites all of which are built in crescents that radiate from the resort's common areas. All of the rooms are air-conditioned and have light wooden furniture and plum coloured walls the private en suite bathrooms are modern with a tropical slant and all the rooms aim to ensure privacy whilst offering stunning views of the surrounding peninsula. The main facilities at the resort include a range of bars and restaurants catering for a variety of tastes and styles.
There is a large variety of water and land based activities available from the resort, including water-skiing, kayaking and snorkelling. At le Canonnier there is the advantage of tasting the Mauritian life in the nearby village of Grand Baie.
