The friendliness of its people has earned Malawi the title the "Warm Heart of Africa". One of the African continent's smallest countries, Malawi sits in the Great Rift Valley which has long been recognised as the cradle of Mankind. Lake Malawi takes up 20% of the country and dominates and enriches every aspect of its life. The very diversity of its countryside means that Malawi supports an unusual number of bird species, beautiful mountains and tropical plants and boasts the "big five" along with a splendid range of antelope and small cats. With Lake Malawi's sweeping beaches, clear blue waters and incredible variety of colourful fish, Malawi is a holiday destination that offers a combination of excellent game viewing with the added attraction of snorkeling, diving, sailing and swimming in warm safe waters.

Destination Highlights:

  • Friendly people
  • Good bird and wildlife
  • Sandy beaches
  • Great watersports - sailing, canoeing, diving and snorkelling
