The Masoala peninsular is one of the largest and most diverse areas of virgin rainforest in Madagascar and probably contains the largest number of unclassified species. Located in the heart of the wild Masoala Peninsula, Masoala Forest tented Lodge is a rustic bush camp where nature still reigns in all its glory.

The lodge itself is set behind stunning beaches in a small clearing of the vast rainforest, there are five 'African Safari' tents which are positioned on wooden decks with hammocks for those afternoon siestas. The bathrooms and toilet huts are a short walk from the main tents and are equipped to a European standard. The main facilities at the tented lodge include a large communal living area with a large selection of books on the area and surroundings and games made from local Malagasy wood.  The lodge has a small restaurant which serves a blend of 'Swiss and Malagasy rainforest cuisine with fresh fish and local produce.

Activities available from the lodge include day and night walks into the primary rainforest. There are also water based activities including guided sea kayaking, and snorkelling, whale watching and fishing.
