Tarajava Guest House
Tarajava Guest House is a beautiful, boutique guest house located in the old upper town district of Antananarivo by the recently destroyed Queens Palace on Antananarivo Hill. The Guesthouse is a restored townhouse which was built in the traditional Merina style and is elegantly decorated throughout with a mixture of old French, English and Italian antiques, chandeliers and art deco pieces. Tarajava Guest House is in a league of its own in Madagascar.
Accomodation at Tarajava Guest House consists of two spacious and stylish suites, each offering stunning views over the city and Independence Lake from the rooms private balconies. The suites all have private en suite bathrooms and a Jacuzzi. There is also an additional smaller room which has its own private bathroom and balcony with magnificent views of the city. The main facilities at the guesthouse include a glass panelled three dimensional dining room, lounge and bar. Romantic dinners can be arranged and offer the best of malagasy cuisine.
The Guest House’s location is a great base to explore Tana's markets and culture. There is also the option to drive from Tana to its outskirt regions of Ambohimanga, where the former Merina monarchs had their summer palaces or to the beautiful Antisirabe. Alternatively, the nature rich Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is a great place to search for the famous for Indri and Grey Bamboo Lemurs.
