Loldia Ranch
Loldia ranch is set in lush lawns on the green shores of Lake Naivasha, the Great Rift Valley's highest Lake. Loldia House was built during the Second World War and has breathtaking views of the dormant volcano, Mount Longonot. It is an ideal spot to relax, taste the pleasures of Kenyan country life and explore the Great Rift Valley. Wild animals roam free on the farm. Small antelope wander through the gardens. In the evenings hippo munch quietly by the waterside.
In the main house there is a choice of four elegantly furnished double bedrooms, each with private en suite bathrooms. There are three more rooms in the specially built Loldia cottage which has it's own sitting-room, fireplace and offers panoramic lake views. The owners have kept the original character and furnishings of the house including comfortable chairs and a huge fireplace. There is also a deep and shady veranda to relax on and sun-beds in the garden. The meals served at the ranch are sumptuous and use the best of the local and fresh ingredients including fish and shrimp from the lake all of which are served under the trees or in the old dining room.
