Lemartis Camp
Lemartis Camp is an unforgettable safari experience located on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiru River on the Koija group community ranch in Kenya’s unspoilt Laikipia region, home to the Samburu people. The land is owned by the Samburu community while the camp itself was built and is run by the local Samburu guide, Loyan Lemarti and his Kenyan-based fashion designer wife, Anna Trzebinski.
Nestled in an oasis on the river banks set beneath the palms and fig trees, the camp itself is very small, personal and and comfortable with 5 stylish safari tents with 'al fresco' style ensuites. Unique to Lemarti's camp, is the 'Rites of Passage' safari where guests walk into the wilderness with Samburu warriors armed only with thier traditional weapons, their sharp senses and generations of knowledge. This is a truly unforgetable experience where you can really conncect to the surroundings with no distractions. Guided walks & camel treks, cultural visits, mountain biking, sundowners, picnics, dining under the stars, high altitude running, bird watching, visits to the local community to take part in ceremonies & activities such as honey harvesting, visits to the local market, swimming in the river & fishing are just a taster of the activities on offer here.
