Swaines Hotel
Swaines Hotel is the old lady of Arba Minch and definitely has the best position on the ridge overlooking Lake Chamo and the Nechisar national Park. The bar and restaurant is an impressive building overlooking the park and the lake, however the distance from the restaurant to the rooms is far. In Ethiopia you tend to find many ponds and fountains which often stand empty due to the lack of water, it is just such fountains that line the path between the main building and the rooms. The rooms are functional, clean and large. Each room has a bathroom on suite and the veranda. The best rooms have an uninterrupted view of the lake as there are some rooms that overlook each other.
