Mountain View Hotel
Situated outside of Lalibela, at the end of a bumpy road is situated the aptly named Mountain View hotel. Built 2 years ago, this modern hotel does have fantastic views of the beautiful surrounding countryside and each of the rooms have a view from large class windows. Some rooms have terraces but if you really want a good view of the surroundings, you will need to visit the roof of the hotel where you can sit in the sun and enjoy a drink with a view.
When the hotel first opened it was the best you could get in Lalibela and is still well frequented. The rooms are simple and adequate in size, comfortably arranged with modern bathrooms. Overall it is a good hotel and we often recommend it. If you are planning to walk around town in your free time then the Mountain view hotel will be too far out.
