This 16 day journey covers the best Ethiopia has to offer and gives one a feel of the old as well as the new. The trip starts off in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital and then onto Axum where you will visit Stelae Park and Mai Shum, also known at "Bath of Queen Sheeba". You will then journey through impressive mountain landscape to Yeha, taking in the sights along the way and than onto Gheralta. Following a day discovering Gheralta you will spend three days in Lalibela, exploring the city and sights with your guide. You will then move onto Gondar before spending two days in the stunning Simien Mountains before returning to Addis Ababa via Bahir-Dar. The below itinerary is purely a suggestion and as driving times are quite long and may suit some and not others it is possible to arrange flights between most places or combine some driving and some flying to vary it.
