November to April offers the Green Desert experience
Kalahari Plains Camp is situated in the remote Central Kalahari Game Reserve in central Botswana. It overlooks an active waterhole and sweeping, wide open views across the expansive Plains.
There are ten, private tented rooms, spread out and raised off the ground to catch the breeze and take in the serene views. The camp is 100% solar-powered providing all the electricity and hot water.
At five million hectares, this reserve is one of the largest in the world, home to the legendary Kalahari black-maned lion as well as some of the world's best cheetah viewing. The landscape is largely desert-like, but with the summer rains at the end of November through to April, the region truly comes to life.
