Trip Summary
The Selinda Canoe Trail offers you one of the rarest experiences in Africa. Weaving through the waterways known as the Selinda Spillway which join the Okavango Delta and Linyanti Rivers, this four day adventure is a fantastic addition to a longer itinerary.
The Selinda Canoe Trail is a 45km journey through the rivers of north east Botswana, available annually between May and early October with weekly departures. It involves paddling sturdy Canadian canoes, stopping by the river bank to discover the wildlife on impromptu walks. Elephant, buffalo, roan and wild dog abound, and this is a birding paradise.
With only eight guests on each departure, the Selinda Canoe Trail provides a uniquely personal opportunity to reconnect with nature amidst magnificent scenery. Each evening is spent under the stars on one of the many islands, with camp prepared and hosted by the staff.
