The bay of Angra dos Reis, set on the Costa Verde, will astonish even the hardened traveller with its unbelievable natural beauty. Warm, calm waters lap the white sandy beaches of this spectacular coast midway between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The bay itself is scattered with hundreds of islands and atolls covered in lush tropical vegetation and coconut trees.
