A trip to the Colca Canyon is exciting and thrilling, en route you will pass volcanoes, rivers and lakes and hopefully see some of the wildlife the area has to offer. Llama and vicuna are often seen grazing in the grasslands beside the road and flamingos can be spotted in the nearby lakes.
A highlight of the canyon is to experience the majestic condors rise on the morning thermals. There is also the opportunity to visit one of the warm thermal pools, see the local farmers work the steep terraces and visit the picturesque villages unchanged for centuries.
