Walking trails are becoming increasingly popular and people often comment on the different atmosphere of the walking safaris compared to the driving safaris. Armed guides take guests on informative and adventurous walks through the different habitats of the Okavanga Delta and allow the guests to really get a tactile sense of Africa.

The accommodation on Chitabe Walking Trail is in two places in two very different habitats; one overlooks a flood plain often containing water. The other is in a wooded area on the edge of an extensive pan system. On the Chitabe Walking Trail one can get a real feel for the African bush since both hides accommodate guests on elevated platforms with each person sleeping in the hide under a mosquito net, with a brilliant view of the spectacular African night sky. Simple, but delicious, home cooked meals on the open camp fire are served around an elegant dining table set out under the stars - truly a wonderful way to end an active day.

The Chitabe Walking Trail is tailor made to suit the individual wishes and requirements of each group of guests.

Guests spend their last night back at the Chitabe Trails Camp.
